A private investigation, a request to investigate a worker, an employee, can relate to a breach of obligation by the employee, such as using the employers information, and time, to set up in opposition, breach of contract conditions with regards working in the same industry, in the same area, upon ceasing to be an employee, or using a work vehicle, work assets, work time, to further a personal business interest.
