Gold Coast Process Server Information
Once you have obtained your quote for Gold coast process serving, either by emailing [email protected], sending us an online Contact inquiry, or calling 1300 966 103, for a free quote, you then need information about how to forward your documents.
If the documents were forwarded to you by email (usually as a PDF), you can forward them on to us at the above email address, the same way, to be served, across the Gold Coast. Some of the current documents you can efile include divorce applications and some QCAT forms.
Once you have applied and the court has sent back the 'sealed' copy (has court stamp, or seal, on it), then forward the documents received back from the court to [email protected] for service. We are experienced process servers. We serve a court process for you.
As a result of COVID, and the restrictions imposed, many documents are being scanned as PDFs and forwarded by email, to be served, such as a summons, notice, or subpoena. Due to the difficulties with postage, and the need to move quickly, this is becoming more wide spread, and accepted.
Many Federal Circuit and Family Court documents to be served on the Gold Coast are being addressed this way, many tribunal documents are also being addressed this way. If in doubt please contact us.
When forwarding a file for service on the Gold Coast you need to include your instructions. This is the information about the person to be served, such as where they live, where they work, if they work, do they have responsibility for children and school drop off and picks ups, that sort of information.
This is so we can try to be as efficient as possible with the document service. Also include all your contact details, for the return of the affidavit, and contact details for questions or updates.
We will normally send a scan copy of the affidavit to you for information, prior to postage. If you sent us electronic forms to serve, then you can use the scanned affidavit to lodge with the court.
Where you believe the service of documents on a person at the Gold Coast may be difficult, or the person less than co-operative (e.g. some Family Law & divorce matters), there are extra things which may assist. For example forward us a half A4 scanned photograph with the file (if available).
We generally allow for up to 20 pages, if we are printing out an electronic file. Pages in excess of this are charged, per page (sometimes the files can take a ream of paper, and an ink cartridge!).
Be aware that many documents have time frames for service, a divorce should be served 28 days clear of the nominated court date, many family law applications should be served 14 days clear.
Urgent applications are often to be served within days. When seeking to have documents served n the Gold Coast please allow us as much time as is available.
Some people stumble over the description, serve a sealed document. This actually means that the document to be served on the Gold Coast must have been submitted to the court and have a court seal, a court stamp, and usually a court date put on it. The documents you get back from the court are what we serve.
We are aware that, for some clients, this may be one of the first times they have had contact with the court practices, and requirements; this is often the case for those who are getting divorced, and are handling the process themselves.
We are experienced Gold Coast process servers. We are aware of the requirements for identification, and the various ways in which documents may be served. Contact us for a free quote.
